about

I see justice
Just out of view
Yeah, I see justice
Don't have much to do
But I got no worries
Why give a toss
I'm already long gone from here
And I don't feel a loss

Track Name: Fat, Drunk and Stupid
Fat, drunk and stupid
Ain't no way to go through life, son
Fat, drunk and stupid
Ain't no way to get the job done

You think you're king of the kingdom
You think your life will go on this way
You think that nothing can touch you
Sitting up there on Santa's sleigh

You think you are so amazing
And all you touch will turn to gold
You think that you are so special
And you will never, never ever grow old

You think you have some say-so
You think you got a clue
You think you know better, brother
You think the world revolves around you
Track Name: Far Country
Late last night I changed my mind
Decided I would pack it in
I stashed my dreams and my busted heart
My hopes that I would ever win
Well I hit the road in my beat-up van
Had to get myself right out of town
Said farewell to my sleeping kid
No, I just didn't want to bring her down

Say goodbye, bye to all I've known
Say hello to the far country
I know that I, I am all alone
Way out here in the far country

I drove along 'bout a thousand miles
Till my van went and blew a rod
The mechanic said it'd cost a thousand bucks
I took the name in vain of my god
So I hitched a ride with a guy named Fred
Said he was headed to a cult out West
He wanted to know if I would go along
Told him I would join him on his quest

Fred and I we found a home
With seventy virgins at our beck and call
We built an empire with our own four hands
Next week we break ground for a mall
Track Name: My Procedure
They took me to a white room
And they put me on a table
They stuck an IV in my arm
And said, Are you ready and able

I said, Well here goes
I guess I have no other choice
They said to start counting back from three
And then I lost my voice

And then I had my procedure
Oh yeah, yeah
And then I had my procedure
Oh yeah, yeah

Well I was knocked out
For what seemed like the blink of an eye
I heard a voice and it called my name
But somehow I couldn't reply

I was not yet in the room
I was still up in my head
I wasn't quite alive
And I wasn't quite dead

And that was my procedure
Oh yeah, yeah
And that was my procedure
Oh yeah, yeah
Track Name: Everything Must Go
Don't got no money
Don't got no job
My brother-in-law says
I'm a big fat slob
Don't got no prospects
Times are pretty tough
So I'm having me a sale
To get rid of my stuff
Nothing's gone as planned
Won't you please lend me a hand

Everything must go
Yeah, yeah

This is a Walkman
It plays a cassette
You can make a mix tape
Or maybe crepe suzette
Here is my computer
It's not too out of date
Here's a fancy tie
For when you dine with heads of state
I'm not being funny
I could really use the money

Here is a song
It's not worth a thing
The melody's crap
And I can barely sing
I'm feeling the pinch
I'm nearly destitute
I'll sell my organs
Or be a prostitute
I'm down on luck
And boy does that suck
Track Name: Happy Ending
The light turned green and I started to go
A car plowed through from where I don't know
It knocked me down flat on my back
And then it drove on and then it all went black
Next thing I knew I was flying so high
My body down there, my soul in the sky

I started to laugh, "Why the hell not"
I felt light as air while they dug me a plot
I went past the clouds above land and sea
I started to figure out this was the end of me

And I am on my way to a happy ending
And I will be OK with my happy ending

Then I saw a light was as bright as the sun
And a voice called to me, "All your worries are done"
I kept going up, left my body behind
And all that I felt was a certain peace of mind

The voice spoke again
Said, "In me you can trust"
But with those words for me it all went bust
Track Name: A Distant Bell Is Calling Me
I see trouble
Coming up ahead
Yeah, I see trouble
Widespread
Nothing's gonna stop it
Or even slow it down
Not till it wrecks
Each and every town
But I got no worries
Why should I care
I roll down the window
And let the wind blow back my hair

A distant bell is calling me
What can it mean
What can it mean

I sense danger
Lurking in the air
Yeah, I sense danger
Everywhere
People getting shot
For expressing their views
People getting shot
Same old news
But I got no worries
I'm good to go
I'm already on my way
Somewhere I just don't know

I see justice
Just out of view
Yeah, I see justice
Don't have much to do
But I got no worries
Why give a toss
I'm already long gone from here
And I don't feel a loss
Track Name: Eliot Wilder's Two-Millionth Dream
While I was riding on a train goin’ west
I fell asleep for to take my rest
I dreamed a dream that made me sad
Concerning myself and the friends that I had

With half-damp eyes I stared to the room
Where my friends and I spent many an afternoon
Where we together weathered many a storm
Laughin’ and singin’ till the early hours of the morn

By the old wooden stove where our hats was hung
Our words were told, our songs were sung
Where we longed for nothin’ and were quite satisfied
Talkin’ and a-jokin’ about the world outside

With haunted hearts through the heat and cold
We never thought we could ever get old
We thought we'd sit forever in fun
But our chances really were a million to one

Easy it was to tell black from white
It was all that easy to tell wrong from right
Our choices were few and the thought never hit
That the road we traveled would ever shatter and split

How many a year has passed and gone
And many a gamble has been lost and won
And many a road taken by many a friend
And each one I’ve never seen again

I wish, I wish, I wish in vain
That we could sit simply in that room again
Ten thousand dollars at the drop of a hat
I’d give it all gladly if our lives could be like that
Track Name: A Lonesome Gentle Man
Can't walk on water
He doesn't have a beard
He isn't even white for chrissakes
That is a little bit weird
He seems so reasonable
He doesn't sound like a dunce
Just for once

A lonesome gentle man
Has come into our land
He brings a message of good cheer
He says, have no fear

Got a funny way of doing things
He gets straight to the point
Doesn't talk the double talk talk
Runs a very tight joint
Has a sense of humor
Can tell a pretty good yarn
Gives a darn

We live in a very strange world
In a very strange time
The sublime is ridiculous
But the ridiculous is not the sublime

He's trying to make some changes
Which some see as a threat
Doesn't look too scary to me
A nicer guy I've never met
He wears designer suits
Loves his fancy ties
He is wise
Track Name: No Man's Land
If there's one thing I've learned
It's all so easy to get lost
And it's hard to find your way back again
Once a line has been crossed

I have struggled in vain
And I have got barely nothing to show
Just a couple of sad old songs
To tell my tale of woe

I know that it is not much
And I don't expect you'd understand
But it's the best that I can offer you
Out here in no man's land

I've been to the mountaintop
And down to the depths of the sea
Thought I would find a place for myself
But there was no room for me

I've seen the best of all worlds
And I've seen the worst worlds as well
There is no place called heaven, no
And there's no place called hell
Track Name: Batten Down the Hatches
Board up the windows
And bring down the flags
Rush to the grocery store
And fill up your bags
A storm is a-comin'
Be here real soon
The sky is as black as coal
And it's only noon

Collect all your blankets
And count all your cans
Check all your batteries
And cancel your plans

Charge up your cellphone
Fill up your jugs
Secure your precious stash
You'll need the drugs
Box up your records
Tighten every screw
When the water comes rushing in
You can bid it all adieu

Batten down the hatches
Try to keep yourself dry
Say all your prayers
And kiss your ass goodbye
Batten down the hatches
Batten down the hatches
Aye Aye
Aye Aye

And I will see you
See you on the other side
And I will see you
Across the great divide
There is no place
No place to hide
